EP 217: Michael MacDonald- Basketball to Board Room

Michael MacDonald is the former executive chairman and CEO of Medifast. Before that, he was an Executive Vice President for Office Max, and spent 33 years in sales, marketing, and general management at Xerox, where he served as the president of the North American Solutions Group--a $65 billion division of the company. He also served on the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Michael was cut from his basketball team the first time he tried out. He eventually played on a scholarship from Rutgers. Michael learned many valuable life lessons through basketball. The sport taught him teamwork, perseverance, and the value of diversity.
